About this product

Product Overview

Diamond flap discs are high-performance coated abrasives for precision grinding of hard, brittle materials. Diamond grains are electroplated or brazed onto steel flaps, which are arranged radially and bonded to a backing plate for use on angle grinders.

Diamond's exceptional hardness and wear resistance provide strong grinding performance, long service life and good value when processing hard, brittle materials. Common sizes are 100 mm (4″) and 125 mm (5″), compatible with common angle grinders.

Grit Selection Guide

Coarse (60#-120#): rough grinding, leveling, chamfering and rapid stock removal

Medium (200#): intermediate grinding, pre-finishing and surface dressing

Fine (400# and finer): fine polishing and surface finishing for a smooth, uniform surface

For superhard alloys or engineered glass, start with a coarse grit and gradually progress to finer grits for the best surface finish.

Safe Use Instructions

Ensure the product's maximum rated speed is at least equal to the angle grinder speed and mount it correctly.

Diamond flap discs are for hard, brittle materials. Do not use them on soft materials such as wood or plastic.

Do not remove the angle grinder guard.

Storage

Store flat and avoid heavy pressure that could cause deformation.
