Product Overview
Blue calcined alumina flap discs are high-performance coated abrasives designed for stainless steel and heat-sensitive materials. The abrasive is brown fused alumina calcined above 1350℃. Its characteristic deep-blue color gives it the name blue abrasive or blue-fired brown fused alumina.
Calcining removes surface impurities and significantly improves wettability and toughness. The resulting flap discs cut sharply and dissipate heat effectively, helping prevent burning and darkening on stainless steel. Grinding and polishing can be completed in one step for professional stainless steel surface finishing.
Diameters range from 100 mm (4″) to 180 mm (7″), fitting common angle grinders.

Safe Use Instructions
Ensure the product's maximum rated speed is at least equal to the angle grinder speed and mount it correctly.
Wear personal protective equipment, including protective goggles, a face shield, earplugs and a dust mask.
Do not remove the angle grinder guard.
Check for cracks or missing flaps before use. Do not use a damaged flap disc.
Apply even, moderate pressure. Excessive force can damage the disc or workpiece.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
Avoid direct sunlight to prevent adhesive aging.
Store flat and avoid heavy pressure that could cause deformation.
