Bodan Abrasives
Privacy policy
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 September 2026
Luoyang Bodan Abrasives Co., Ltd. ("Bodan", "we", "us") operates bd-abrasives.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
It covers this website only. It does not cover information you give us through separate channels such as trade shows, nor the terms of any supply contract.
1. Information we collect
Inquiry form
When you send an inquiry we collect:
- Name (required)
- Email address (required)
- Company name (optional)
- Telephone number (optional)
- The product you are asking about and the page you sent the inquiry from
- The message you write, including any application details you choose to share
Please include only the technical and commercial details we need in order to quote. Do not send identity documents, bank details or other sensitive personal information through this form.
Technical information
Our servers and security systems automatically record your IP address, browser and device type, the date and time of your visit, the page requested, the referring page, and request status or error information.
Cookies
We use only cookies necessary for the site to function: maintaining your browsing session and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build marketing profiles. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the inquiry form may then stop working.
Web fonts
Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google's servers to retrieve them, which means Google receives your IP address. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.
2. How we use your information
We use inquiry information to:
- Understand your requirement and prepare a quotation
- Reply to you and continue the commercial discussion
- Keep a record of the inquiry for follow-up and order handling
- Meet accounting, tax, customs and other legal obligations
We use technical information to keep the site running, investigate faults and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your inquiry email address for unrelated marketing without your agreement.
3. Legal basis
Depending on where you are located, we rely on your consent, on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, on our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries, and on compliance with legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
- Our sales and technical staff, so they can answer your inquiry
- Hosting and email service providers, who process data on our behalf to operate the site and deliver messages
- Logistics, customs and payment partners, where an inquiry becomes an order and the information is needed to fulfil it
- Professional advisers and public authorities, where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims
5. International transfers
We are based in China. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in China. Where the law requires it, we will put appropriate safeguards in place before transferring personal information across borders.
6. How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards for the period required by accounting, tax and customs rules. Inquiries that do not lead to business are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer useful for follow-up.
Because of backup and disaster-recovery systems, deleted information may remain in backups for a limited period until the backup cycle completes.
7. Security
We apply access controls, limit who can read inquiry records, protect data in transit, and keep logs for troubleshooting and security monitoring. No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will act to limit the harm and notify you or the relevant authority as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you
- Provide a copy of it
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete information we no longer need
- Restrict or object to particular processing
- Withdraw consent you have given
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal. We may still need to keep certain records to meet legal obligations.
We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically ask for them.
9. Children
This website is intended for business users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business, technology or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
