Advantages
Key features
-
High hardness and toughness for efficient grinding
Alumina abrasives combine hardness and toughness for strong metal-cutting action, high grinding efficiency and long life. A resin adhesive and advanced grain-coating process orient the grains for sharpness, durability and a good surface finish.
-
Good self-sharpening for sustained sharpness
Dulled alumina grains undergo microfracture to expose fresh cutting edges, maintaining cutting action and extending abrasive cloth life with fewer replacements.
-
Flexible cloth backing for complex profiles
The flexible, high-tensile-strength cloth backing conforms closely to flat, curved and contoured workpieces. Some products are waterproofed for wet and dry use and resist curling.
-
Moisture and loading resistance for durability
Moisture-resistant treatment and shape-setting processes help prevent moisture-induced deformation. An anti-loading coating reduces swarf adhesion and extends abrasive cloth life.
-
A full grit range for all finishing stages
Grits from 40# to 600# cover rough grinding and heavy stock removal, intermediate surface finishing and fine polishing.

Applicable Materials
Metals: carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, aluminum alloys, copper and copper alloys
Non-metals: wood, plastics, ceramics, glass, semiconductors and leather
Coated surfaces: paint, primer and adhesive surfaces
Selection Guide
Choose the product form: sheets for hand sanding, belts for machines, rolls for continuous work or flap wheels for complex profiles.
Choose grit size for the application:
Coarse (40#-80#): heavy stock removal, initial weld grinding, rust removal and rough polishing
Medium (100#-180#): general grinding, surface finishing and weld-mark cleaning
Fine (240#-400#): fine polishing and surface finishing
Extra-fine (600# and finer): mirror polishing and precision surface finishing
Choose the operating method:
Dry type: for wood, plastics and materials unsuitable for water
Wet / dry type: for metals and applications requiring cooling; water reduces dust and loading
Safe Use Instructions
Check the abrasive cloth for damage, moisture or deterioration before use. Do not use damaged material.
For machine grinding, check the operating speed, fit the guard and secure the abrasive cloth correctly.
Wear protective goggles, a dust mask and protective gloves to protect against dust inhalation and flying debris.
Use even, moderate pressure to prevent cloth tearing or workpiece overheating.
During wet grinding, keep the abrasive cloth wet to prevent overheating and loading.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from moisture and high temperatures.
Avoid direct sunlight to prevent adhesive aging.
Store sheets flat and avoid heavy pressure that could cause deformation.
Hang rolls or store them upright to prevent moisture-induced deformation.
