About this product
Product Overview
These 100-230 mm resin-bonded grinding discs combine a resin bond with high-strength fiberglass mesh reinforcement. Designed for high-power angle grinders, they handle heavy-duty grinding, weld cleaning, deburring and surface preparation of large castings, high-carbon steel, alloy steel and other metals. The range covers fine finishing through heavy stock removal. All sizes are rated for a maximum peripheral speed of 80 m/s, with safe rotational speeds from 6,600 to 15,200 RPM depending on diameter, for efficient grinding of large workpieces.

Applications
Foundries: cutting gates and risers on large castings, removing flash and burrs, and rough surface grinding
Heavy machinery: weld cleaning and surface preparation of high-carbon and alloy steel components
Steel fabrication: removing mill scale from large steel workpieces and grinding welds
Shipbuilding: grinding large hull components and cleaning welds
Mining machinery: grinding wear parts and dressing castings
Nuclear power and offshore oil: cleaning welds, weld spots, edges and burrs on carbon steel and stainless steel
Usage Recommendations
Equipment: use a dedicated high-frequency brushless angle grinder, preferably ≥2000 W, to take advantage of high torque and load capacity. Do not exceed 80 m/s peripheral speed or 6,600 RPM.
Working angle: maintain a 25°-35° angle for optimal grinding efficiency and surface quality.
Abrasive selection: brown fused alumina (A) is recommended for high-carbon and alloy steels. Zirconia alumina (ZA) is recommended for extra-heavy loads, offering better self-sharpening and longer life.
Wear protective goggles, a dust mask and protective gloves. Because these large-diameter discs are used for heavy-duty work, check that the guard is properly installed.
